COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

“Success is not built on what we accomplish for ourselves.
Its foundation lies in what we do for others..."

At Publicity Works, We Believe
in Public RelationSHIPS
.

Wikipedia Latin meaning: pro bono publico, "for the public good." We not only believe in public relations, but public relationSHIPS as well. Giving back to the community through our extraordinary commitment to pro bono publico counsel is the foundation and fundamental practice of Publicity Works.

Our pro bono practice not only improves the lives of those we serve, it also provides those organizations tremendous satisfaction and opportunities for further development.

Publicity Works' distinguished history representing pro bono clients and charitable foundations is widely recognized. We're also honored to receive several awards and commendations in recognition for the philanthropy efforts with which the agency has been involved. In 2001, the PA Department of Community & Economic Development commended Trish Doll for contributing to our healthy community beyond measure . . . Secretary, Sam McCullough. The SBDC Women's Conference testimonial stated, "your PR presentation renewed faith in our mission to be the ambassador of goodwill."

SPECIAL FEATURE

The following article is a special byline contributed as a PR Committee Volunteer for Skate America, the premier international figure skating competition, sanctioned and hosted annually by United States Figure Skating (USFS). Skate America is one of six International Skating Union Grand Prix events held every year. Reading, PA was the Host City for this international event held in the United States in 2003 and 2007. The competitions drew spectators from around the country. National and international publicity for this involved television coverage, including broadcasting to Canada, Japan, Russia, France, Italy and Germany. 2007 Skate America was projected to have a local economic impact of more than $3 million. In 2003, the Reading-hosted event brought a combined attendance of 16,000 over 4 days.
